Guest rimotu66
Guys, I am going to get a nv add on to use for foxing on my .243 but have no idea what scope is best, Do I need a 50mm objective or larger or smaller? Can I get one for £100 that will do the job or am I wasting my time, obviously I need side adjustable focus. I would appreciate your recommendations. Guest rimotu66
I do have a Nikon Prostaff 3-9x50 I could swap if anyone has a suitable NV scope with side focus.

jam1e
Lower end scopes are "said" to be better with add-on NV, as they don't have the glass coatings a good quality scope has. Must admit, I've never tested that theory out though. Although I have used NV with MTC, AGS, and Hawke. All gave good results.
Davyo
I always advise lads I build NV add on's for,to spend £50 on a Hawke scope.I used to be able to get hold of the 3-9x50 HD front parallax for £54 delivered.
the enigma
I do have a Nikon Prostaff 3-9x50 I could swap if anyone has a suitable NV scope with side focus. I use a Prostaff 4-12x40 with my add on. At sub 40 yards on x6 the image isn't pin sharp but perfectly useable. I tried a Hawke with AO but the Nikon performed better imo.
