JJsDad
Firstly I am somewhat amazed that TalkTalk has virtually allowed itself to get hacked by some 15 year old geek from his bedroom and subsequently lost mega ammounts of sensitive personal data, which is apparently already getting used by scammers to try to get at our hard earned cash. Their website is virtually useless and if you ring them you just get 38 verses of `Greensleeves` or some other ditty but no-one answers the phone. Secondly, I`ve lost my email. It cannot seem to connect to their server. I`ve re-booted my router but it just gets to the lock icon and cant connect. Keeps asking for the password which when inputted produces nothing. 30 seconds later it asks for it again. Total pain in the ar*e as I rely heavily on this facility. Any other frustrated `TalkTalk` customers out there experiencing the same problem ?? Rant over. Back to BT for me once I can sort things out. TIGHTCHOKE
I too am a TalkTalk customer although as yet (fingers crossed and touching wood)nothing has happened to my bank account and my Email, phone line and TV are working. I am absolutely browned off with their incompetence having only just renewed my contract as the hacking was apparently happening. I hope they can raise their game or I will look at moving to another provider.
m greeny
I was a talk talk customer but changed because the internet was way to slow and they keep ringing me up to 8 times a day telling me to reconnect my router as its showing on there system i am not connevted. I explain to them that i am no longer a customer and have not been for months and please make a note on your computer to stop ringing me as i am no longer a customer and there reply is always the same............. ok but can you please connect your router as its not connected arrrgggghhhhh. But when i was with them and i wanted to speak with somebody about the poor service all i got was an automated voice. To sum up they are useless. littlerob
Don't use the standard sent out talk talk router they can control your speed with it and also there very basic and overload if you conect a few Internet devices to it bought my own ausu router much more stable and seems to run quicker
JJsDad
Thanks for that littlerob. I came into the computer era late in life, never dawned on me that I should perhaps look at a router by another supplier. Albeit my email is now back on after being down for virtually 2 days; but it regularly seems to drop out ( once every 8 to 10 days) and I have to re-boot the router in order to get a connection. Alternative and probably a better bet is to bin TalkTalk and get another more secure / reliable supplier.
old man
They were still trying to claim payment from me 4 months after leaving years ago, it got very silly with threats of county court action?
