muffin
When I had a RFD was not allowed to sign cert. because of bias. The same true of RFD saying you ok for cert. Why oh Why do shooting folk want to make things harder for new shooting folk.
Livefast123
Why do people feel the need to introduce another thing to make it harder to get into shooting / line some organisations pocket / give the MPs some ammo to say shooting needs to be made safer. The safety of shooting speaks for itself.

dougall
I think there is an onus on all shooters to take newbies/mates/friends under their wing, drill in safety/gun function etc....and equally to pull anyone up on poor safety etc..I cant think of anyone who has just got a license and has'nt had the brains to take advice.........most folk are pretty gun respectful...especially newbies...firearms are a lot harsher to obtain(rightly) but mentoring is coming in everywhere and that is a good thing.the thought of compulsory testing is a nightmare to even think about.........so No.
