shootthepigeon
I have got a pair of the above neoprene lined full zip etc, but the lining appears to be missing at the heel where it is just rubber, the part in question is dragging my socks down and driving me mad, the area is too neat/uniform to have been worn away. I was just wondering if every pair are the same? It's as though the rubber has been put on after the neoprene in manufacture.
flyeruk
I have got the same boots, just had a look and mine are the same. Its rubber round the back of the heel. I cant say I have had the same problem with the sock pulling. Maybe try a different sock? I use the CAT work socks in mine and not a problem. EMT
I think they have changed the lining in the heel area. Was looking at replacing my old pair, there is nowt wrong with them but they are 9 years old this year. Looking at a pair today and I noticed what looked like cream coloured rubber on the inside of the heel which put me off.
darren 67
I think this extra rubber stip is to stop the neoprene wearing through, as it has on many of my wellies when walked in a lot. Once wore through it becomes a bit uncomfortable. So can you not wear garters to keep your socks up?
shootthepigeon
Thanks for the replies, I have got an old pair that don't have the rubber strip in and just wanted to make sure these were right, I will have to wear thicker socks. Thanks
welshwarrior
Mine are the same I wear 2 pairs of socks to stop this a thin pair against the skin and thick against the boots, found it happens to me on most wellies.
