Penelope
A few years ago I went to Borough Market, there was a stall there selling game and wildfowl and amongst the display was a Greylag. I said to the proprietor that it was illegal to sell wild geese, to which he said it was just for display purposes. Silly, really, I should have been smarter and offered to buy it first. I'm going back in a very weeks, I'll see if he has anymore hung up. Might have to get some video of the transaction if he has. Natural England and trading standards would be the people to contact I guess?
aister
Dorset Thought it might have been Orkney where they can sell geese.

lee-kinsman
Why not mind your own business and let him be. Id rather see a few sold by butchers than see the countless geese left in hedgerows by people who shoot more than they need, want or can carry. lee-kinsman
I hear what you're saying, but it's still not legal. I know, but I think field sports get enough flack from uneducated do gooders without people into field sports giving them a helping hand. It is more of an offense (morally) to waste a good goose than to put it in the hands of someone who can find it a good table.
