Old melv
Hi all I would like to have my driveway lights come on when my car approaches so I can safely reverse into it but I don't want my lights to switch on when another car or person passes the end of my drive any ideas ? Thanks

markhoward13
The easiest way that I can think of is a remote key fob. The control box could be installed at the house so you wouldn't need to run cables to the end of the drive or run cables down and put a pir at the bottom of the drive and point a pir facing the house. Rupert
Ring wife to switch them on? some modern cars have a welcome home feature, this can be used wiith the correct relay, reciever, Pir set to face up driveway, would trigger as you pass but only after initial turn in, You can run this as an extension of your home alarm if its sophisticated enough, I have a four button remote for mine, arm, disarm, garage door and a spare, the spare can swithch anything you want with correct hardware. My fourth button just disarms garage leaving house set.
Yellow Bear
Remote switch on a keyring Just bought a remote switch and fob for about a fiver from gearbest - you will need a 12v wall wart for it as well
