TIGHTCHOKE
You need to shoot other layouts to gain experience.
Guest stevo
all i was thinking was maybe a change of ground might be worth a go now and then , but DONT get hung up on scores shooting is a perishable skill , you need to practice, practice ,and more practice paying attention to your troublesome birds , and buy working out what you doing wrong , then changing your attack so-to-speak , all of this is assuming that you gun fits ect ect . just don't beat yourself up over it or your start to not enjoy it . No problem I probably could do with going more that 2 times a month. I enjoy the shooting what ever the score. Thanks for the advice
BrowningB525
I find that hard practice at a clay ground (as opposed to shoot) with timers, or a lesson breaks a plateau. Edited December 6, 2015 by BrowningB525

Squinting shot
All good advice thanks. Shooting with better shots would give you that extra kick I suppose.

I've just restarted after an 11 year break and my best score in sporting so far is 31 although second in class C last 2 shoots at what is considered a tricky shoot. I shoot skeet once a week to hone technique. At the end of the day everyone has a level of talent. Practise can't make everyone a Digweed. Top shots are in 46s I don't have enough spare cash to be the next digweed ha ha. He is something special like Phil Taylor with the darts. Maybe I need to relax

You could speak to AJ...many then and now you just get a 'don't disturb me while I am shooting grunt. I have broken into the 40's twice in 45 years (that I clearly recall, 45 and 47), staying mostly in the mid to high 30's I still enjoy shooting, more so now that I don't go and queue up and just go to a practice ground....where there is sometimes just me. I don't and have not shot live game for years, but my best live pigeon day was 200, shooting alone. Oldmeldrum, Aberdeenshire...lovey place indeed...good and not so good memories.
