fruitloop
for loading data you can get that info for free from the powder manufactures web site which will be more up to date than a book that was written say 10 years ago what you need to do is find a powder for your rifle . I am having good results with vectan tu500 in the 243 and developing a load for the same powder for the 222. al4x
Cheers martin as for press, scales etc i can get some really cheap or free so thats not really an issue, ill buy a reloading book new, all it is really is ill probably be shooting alot more fox than deer, so i dont know weather now to go just .243 for everything Simply the light .243 bullets will out perform the .222 in just about every way, I use 58gr vmax in mine for foxes and then 85g soft points for deer. The zero at 100 yards if I set the 85gr spot on the 58's are about an inch high and pretty much flat to 200 yards, it makes it dead easy if you need to swap between the two. The 85's are a good deer bullet and also work well on foxes so I could really just stick with them but in the summer I do tend to use the 58's which simply flatten foxes. In my case it meant that I spent more on the rifle and scope knowing I would be using it a lot. Costs on reloading aren't really worth worrying about unless you shoot a huge number of foxes / deer
colin lad
i reload for my .222 powder is £38 a tub h322 you get about 346 loads from that = 10.9p per round 100 hornaday vmax 50g are £19.99 = 20p per round primers are 4p each total 33p per round for my foxing rounds my plinking/rabbiting rounds are same powder but 326 rounds per tub so = 11.6 per round as lighter bullets use more powder 100 40g soft nose £14 per 100 so 14p per round same primers so 4p total of 29.6p per round colin

A good press from RCBS or similar are out there for around £75 Cleaning kits not really needed. Swap the case length gauge for a decent set of digital callipers, you will get more use out of those too.
