Damp cartridges

Hi all, went ckay bashing the and it hammered down with rain, cartridge bag got soaked. Cartridges got a bit damp, bit of condensation in the bag. Not rusted or anything like that. Is it good just to stick them in the airing cupboard and use em?

if that's the only place you can keep them, just keep an eye on the them make sure you dry your bag out aswell.

They'll be fine. Just put them somewhere warm to make sure that they dry out.

Plastic should be fine, dry em off with kitchen roll and let em dry naturally in the heat of the house......paper cases might swell up so they won't chamber in the gun though?

+1 only old papercased shells can be problematic.

They will be fine - just for a reference - last year my house was flooded and my cartridges were submerged under 2 feet of water for 5 hours.

I tried a couple after 2 days - all went bang just left a lot of residue in the barrels.

All were plastic - some with regular plastic wads, some with piston wads and some with steel shot.

 

 

First I have put them on the table and left them on room temperature for a week, then I stacked them in carbon boxes and left them in the heating room over the winter.

Shot with them over this year - no missfire, performed flawlessly, clean burning and all...
