billytheghillie
I am looking at buying a small photo printer, but what one? Bearing in mind the cost of ink cartridges, as I will not be using it a lot, jut the odd photo now and then. Thanks.
steve_b_wales
Epson printers are very well made. I don't use the 'genuine' ink, but use generic ones. I buy the ink from choicestationary.com, who I have dealt with for many years and have always had good service from them.
TIGHTCHOKE
Perhaps you should look at one of the monthly deals that includes a certain amount of ink. A member of our shoot pays £2:00 per month for the medium amount of printing he does.
djgeoff
i use epson the stylus photo p50 becuase it prints to disc too, i am quite happy with the quality of photos printed on gloss, matte and canvas. i use compatible ink carts from svp approx 85p each, if you decided to ordered from svp make it worth you while because postage can be £7 touch which is a lot for a few items.if it helps the ink carts are pro jet

Ade1971
I had a p50 ...top printer and it eventually decided to stop working, but needed a WiFi scanner\ photocopier so ended up getting a Epsom XP-610 does the same as the p50 regarding printing discs etc. I paid about £90 for the printer and generic inks are 4 sets for £11:99 on Amazon.
