Cumbrian
It is indeed :https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dKZWfpjqeKA Even allowing for the emotive anti slant of the commentary it is an abhorrent practice and banned in most of Europe. You can see plenty of clips on Youtube and none make for good viewing. It is nothing like game shooting, our style pigeon shooting or field sports in general. ps. Even the so called legal matches organised stateside are routinely advertised only by word of mouth or by those in the know, that's how proud they are. Hear, hear. Very well put, likewise your other posts. Though I have heard of driven pheasant shoots where the birds are so numerous and relatively so easy to shoot that it becomes almost a massacre. At the little shoot that I attend we are usually lucky to end up with more than 15-20 birds between 12-14 guns after 6 drives (except for the first shoot of the season, before the birds have scattered to the further corners of the county). We do our own beating and the day is still perfectly enjoyable.
islandgun
You don't need a club, you just need a ferret, or preferably two. We bolt rabbits to guns at every opportunity; it is up there with the most challenging of shooting disciplines and one of my favourite types of shooting. My apologies to the OP for straying way off topic; I'll see if I can get some pic's of my mates live pigeon breechloaders this coming weekend, and post on here. Ah your talking about that wild rabbit mullarky, suppose next, people will talk about shooting wild pigeon ! (all this talk of rabbits reminds me must get some more subs for my rifle )
