njc110381
I'm looking around for some light pigeon loads. The lightest I've seen is 30g, and at the moment that's what I use. I'd like to try some lighter loads if possible, to see if they're any good. I'm looking for a 24g or 28g no.6 with a fibre wad. Do they exist in 12g? Catamong
I wouldn't advise ever using 24g loads on Pigeons, there simply isn't enough lead to guarantee a clean kill every time. If it's reduced recoil you're after, switch to a semi auto, buy a heavier gun or get a good recoil pad / damper system fitted. Cat.
LEFTY478
Express & Gamebore both do a 28g #6 in 12ga. Hull do a 26g #6 in 12ga.
dunganick
ive used the 28g 12b's and would never again. There is a noticeable difference between the effectiveness of the 32g and the 28g for not alot of differnce in recoil.

pin
I've run out of shells more than once and picked up 28g 7.5's and they bring them down just the same. If you are shooting over the "kill zone" in a decoy pattern you won't notice the difference, wouldn't try it on longer birds though I don't know for sure there would be the "whack" to get a clean kill every time.
