hatsanmad
Hi guys just wondering does anyone reload the eley hulls i.e lightning in particular. I have tried a few times to load them but the primer keeps popping out. I have tryed using a bit of nail polish but doesnt seem to work. I have tried to use the cx2000 and cci primers. Would i be best using the rio primers? Also. I have crimp issues with the v-zero 25 wads i have followed the recipe wieght wise ect but the crimps keep opening up any suggestions? Thanks hatsan

eric lee
superglue or a primer pocket conditioner either will work nicely

sitsinhedges
I use Fiocchi primers in them, they're slightly fatter than Cheddites. Edited February 16, 2016 by sitsinhedges
hawkeye
Reload super fast cases and use RIO primers all the time as Cheddites were to slack and used to fall out..
chris1961
I use a long 8m/m socket on a extension just place the socket in the empty shell over primer hole a and tap it a couple of times with a hammer it . works great primers are a tight fit
deershooter
Why bother just go to the local registered ground and ask if you can have some empty cartridges, use any Hull Cartridge they load well and the primers fit .The people who shoot registered competition normally use much better shells than club shooters Deershooter
eric lee
The cases in question are to the best of my knowledge 76mm high performance steel marked, not quite so easy to come by, but they do reload perfectly aside from the primer issue , and if the op is reloading hp steel back in them i would be leery of the primer swaps suggested, Eric Lee
Uncle Albert
I tend to stick to F Blue hulls and 616 primers. They reload perfectly and pattern well with an even spread on the pattern plate.
