lloydi73
Thinking of purchasing the above....The online reviews all seem fine, but nothing like you lot for an independent review....Anybody got one or used one, would you recommend or buy?!? Zetter
Hi Lloydi I had one of the early nite site units and one of the major issues I had with them is lighting up your face from the glow of the screen. If you have jumpy quarry (and on a couple of my permissions they are very jumpy) they cotton on to this quick and are away as soon as they see the glow. Also to be fair Nite Site is quite expensive compared to people who are building their own kit of similar quality / punch for half the money on the likes of night vision forum. Personally for an add on if you are looking at spending that kind of money I would go for a Ward D 700 add on with one of his Black Sun torches which is an in line unit and is considered by many to be the best off the shelf digital add on marketed at the moment. If you fancy a look through one at some point as you are fairly local in Oxfordshire drop me a PM and I would be happy to drop by with mine for you to have a go with so you can see what they perform like. I have a black sun T20 torch on mine and it easily punches out to 250 yards + for good quarry identification (I am not talking eye shine either I am talking seeing what the quarry is). If you went for one of the T50s 300+ yards would be easily doable on quite a high scope mag. Finally also as an add on Mick Miller on here has built a cracking unit call the cube which is mightily impressive so it could be worth a word with him as to if he is doing bespoke builds. mick miller
I'm currently redesigning it to make it more compact, but if you want more info pm me.
crossy 666
I have 3 of there units and think there brilliant. Yes some fred in a shed can build there own for less fair play to them but I have nether the time or the know how (plus I'm lazy) so I just ordered mine from nite site. You do get the glare back on your face which you can cut down on by fitting there screen covers but 90% of the things we look at don't need to worry about it again as there normally in my boot lol. If you are local to me mate you are more than welcome to come out with us one night and give it a try for your self then you can make up your own mind 👍

mick miller
Yes, they're kits, and look at the quality of the build! I wonder what you do after your objective lens fogs up because you cut the back off and let all the gas out?

Its been a few months since I looked at them and I dont recall them being sold as kits (they definitely wasn't) and so I had assumed they were sealed units... obviously not...!!
