Houseplant
A thoroughly enjoyable experience. Went to my friend's avocado orchard, he controlled the lighting, I did the shooting with my CZ452 .22LR. Harder than I thought it was going to be, especially in terms of judging distances. Bagged 5 rabbits, 1 hare and a possum (note I'm not in the UK!). A few misses, but the hare shot was tricky which made up for it. Not bad for a couple of hours. I was pretty happy with the hare, my first. Didn't really want to shoot the possum as I only want to shoot things I'm going to eat (very much a personal preference), but this was about pest control. Grandalf
Reading your post made me think you had probably got back from the pub a few minutes ago - Then I read it again carefully and noted where you live. Well done mate. Lamping is very rewarding and satisfying.
old man
Well done. You will never run out of Possums? Mind the 1080?
Houseplant
True. Kiwis have a pathological hatred of possums. Yes, they are pests and do a lot of damage, but I have a sneaking suspicion it's mainly because they are Australian!
SimpleSimon
I've got a hat made from spun possum fur. It's the dogs danglies, super warm but never sweaty.
