johnnytheboy
One of my firing pins seems to be stuck out, I stripped the stock of the gun and it would seem there is a wee button the hammer hits, this and the pin do move but are pretty hard to shift, just wondering how to strip this out yo check what's wrong? V8 90
I'm pretty sure you'll find an instructional video on YouTube- sounds like you've got a build up of carbon/crud on the firing pin fit new ones whilst you've got it in bits
V8 90
Just had a quick look & found this - It's for a Browning Citori but I would imagine they're very similar - hop it helps
johnnytheboy
Ah superb, looks identical, it's all one piece that must be the firing pin! Thanks very much for taking the time to find and post that link
armourer103
ill take a guess and say its the bottom one, common problem i have done lots of them no big hardship, take V8 advice while you are at it keep the old ones for emg spares, dont forget to check the FPP, (firing pin protusion), i say emg spares as it seems you have to order everything now and wait! johnnytheboy
It was the top one jammed, but the bottoms one giving light strikes from memory. Should the top one have a spring, the bottom one is narrower and has a spring! To you tube!
PhilR
Bottom pin has a return spring, the top one doesn't.
welshwarrior
If you replace the bottom one worth replacing the main spring at the same time this will stop the light strikes.
johnnytheboy
Being Scottish I was hoping not to replace anything, hopefully cleaning will do
armourer103
from memory, hammers rebound they are not in contact with the pin after firing, they both should have springs or they will drag on opening, cant remember one that didnt!
