tonker
Clearing a shed the other day and found a lightforce 140 adjustable, with scope mount and red filter,(well chuffed) Mounted it on my .222 and thought I'd go try it out. Hopeless!! Screw lens in or out and I can't light up any more than about 30yds and it seems an awfully wide beam. I thought it might be the wrong bulb if that's possible. Does anyone know the correct bulb to get out there a bit please. Or am I wasting my time trying? Thanks Steve.

bluesj
I don't have any experience with lightforce lamps but i would say you could be right about the bulb being the problem. could be the wrong bulb or just not fitted properly
TONY R
I have not got a 140 but have the 170 on rifles and a 240 blitz on the roof, never had either of them in bits, but i am guerssing its a bulb issue , either wrong bulb or loose something like that. Lightforce are awesom lights but probably been superceded now a days with all this LED stuff doing the rounds these days. I just stuck with the lightforce lights because they worked and did all i ever wanted .

I think I'm right in saying that the 140 is "issued" with a 50 watt lamp but provided you keep the 'on' time short, you could get away with a 100 watts if necessary. The best are by Osram and for the cheapest supplier, Google 'Medlamps' The 50 watt is Pt No: HLX 64610 and the 100 watt is HLX 64625
SPARKIE
Try taking the lense off and pushing the bulb only half way in then screw the lense back on..... This works they have issues with the bulbs being pushed too far in..... Oh and don't touch the bulb without a cloth there halogen
