spinach
Keep smiling, write it all down. If she wants to waste hundreds on solicitors letters that's up to her! Your thread title has it all. She will be your neighbour and could be for years. Time for a charm offensive ,always play for the higher moral ground!! I've got muscles from smiling that could lift weights but it stopped problems from escalating, though in my head the stream of invectives can be quite Tarantino. Good luck. John. old man
Sounds like a real mess? The person you bought off should maybe have declared his dispute in the pre contract questions prior to sale to you? You should maybe declare this problem and it's resolution should you ever sell? Have experience of this years ago with the in laws and a neighbour?
bullet1747
I had a spat with my next door three year back , started when wife slapped her for grabbing her mother over a boundary fence they were pinching a meter of land 25 metres long , fencing people were stopped and made to move it , we also shared a cess pit on there land but was my cess pit , I had it emptied and he came round while I was out shooting and had a go at the MIL saying i had no right to have any one go on to his land with out permission , how wrong was he ,she rang me so I packed up as I had had enough off it all , went round knocked on the door and asked to see him was firm but fair told him iwad the nicest person he would meet untill I was crossed then would have been his worsed nightmare , we now all get on , morale to the story go round make peace and explain its there for a safety measure and not to keep her out Good luck
