rimfire4969
I am no expert so take this now you want. I would think if you are pressing a button to select 4 wd instead of a manual lever then it would be a servo. This is how I would start if looking at the problem. 69chris
id have thought its a fairly universal little 12v motor, id be inclined to take the old one out and see if theres enough markings on it to help find a replacement
scutt
it is a MOTOR that moves a gear from idle to engage the forward diff on my Kawasaki I think it could be the same system. Test for voltage at the diff where the motor is housed just find the wires at the diff if volts indicated when switch is on then start looking at motor itself it my be that you just require to clean it or the gear itself might be damaged.if no voltage appears at the motor the work you way back to switch to find fault.my own bike had a motor that was failing it just could not move the gear into full engagement and it ended up bouncing inn and out and damaging the gearing and the lever . Hope this helps . Edited April 3, 2016 by scutt
