norfolkgoose
Hi to all I got myself a fn12 light hunter singleshot in .177 which I am very pleased with but its fitted with the falcon quick fill moderator which is fairly good on its own . I also have a extra moderator with it the problem being when I fit the extra mod the pellets are hitting the end of it and going every where is there a way of ajusting anything to stop this happening as it is very quiet with the extra mod and the only thing I can hear is the hammer hitting the valve ? So would like to see if anyone knows how to rectify this if it can be many thanks to all.
figgy
Get a drill a bit bigger than the hole and drill the moderator out untill the pellets no longer clip it.
Lord Geordie
You can buy a silencer adapter to fit an after market silencer! Make sure it's a proper Falcon Barrel one though! Load of people buy the 10mm AirArms one and it does NOT fit! I use a HW silencer on mine and it's superb! The Quick fill moderator set up is OKish but you will find quieter with an after market adapter and silencer!
FalconFN
What type/make is the extra mod? I'd be inclined to sell the quick fill and extra moderators and get separate quick fill fitting and mods (HW are good).
norfolkgoose
The quick fill is a proper falcon one and I have the adapter on and fits fine shoots fine with that left on its just the mod its self thats causing the problem the mod is a SAK Edited April 8, 2016 by norfolkgoose
FalconFN
Unscrew the sak and check for damage. They have a solid core with large cavities drilled through so nothing can come loose, so unless it has been badly modified then there is either something in there that shouldn't be or one if the threads is out of line. I still think replacing the qf mod and sak with two separate units is the way forward, and if you sell both it may not cost very much, if anything, to do. FalconFN
It is different from the one I use (that one seems to have been discontinued) but best fittings do the kits for £20 http://www.bestfittings.co.uk/shopdisplayproducts.asp?id=199&cat=Quick+Coupler+Starter+Kits Then you just need a 1/2" unf silencer adapter to fix to the barrel, which are quite cheap on ebay, and a decent silencer. I would say the sak may be a better rimfire silencer but it is 7/10 on an air rifle.
