2.4 mile Rifle shot

Saw the bit on it on Fieldsports Tv Hunting YouTube.

Just watched the video and was impressed, not by the trigger man but the spotter calling the shots. Looking at the scope to barrel angle the trajectory must have looked like it could take out low flying aircraft. Over 13foot high at 200 yards to shoot the 3800 yard target so at 4200 it must be a hunk higher as they said it was dropping massively by that point.

Any one else watched it?

Wonder just how much you have to allow for rotation of the Earth at 2.4 miles and a bullet flight time of 10.8 seconds.

Remember watching future weapons on Discovery when the Chey Tac first came out. They designed the bullet to have the best drag conefficient then designed the gun to shoot it. Impressive rifle but the HTC custom job works.

Watched another video of a fella shooting .338 lapua magnum to 2 miles and hit a 24" swing plate. Some impressive working out to hold for drop and wind age at them ranges.
