Hi All

In a theoretical situation where a gun cabinet is full and a new gun acquired, would it be acceptable to store the barrel, forend and recoil spring of an auto in the cabinet and the receiver in a loft secured to a rafter or joist by a heavy duty cable lock (or something similar)?

Thanks, I remember having a gun clamp thing that bolted to the wall in the 80's wonder if there still around!

I had a gun clamp and left it rawlbolted to the wall of a house we sold. As I still have the keys it must still be there - unless they demolished the wall, as the bolts were only accessible when the clamp was open!

The best solution is to convert a room or build an extension and have a gun room with a heavy duty door 😜 We've just started planning our new build and I've already said I'll need a gun room so I can clean the guns and reload quietly away from Mrs Jockey (I've made sure I've been doing a lot of reloading/hammering the Lee loader when we've been talking about plans)

Would love to, but think a bigger cabinet may be a more viable solution!!
