lloydi73
I'm shooting crows very close to estate cottages so don't want to cause nuisance. Therefore going to purchase a Hushpower...anybody got one and wants your thoughts/verdict?!?

mick miller
Righto, yes, I have comments. The miss erg 410 is very capable, simple to use and, arguably, easier than using a 'regular' shotgun. Gamekeepers son has one here and we both find that using the technique of swing through and pull the trigger when the target is obscured by the barrel works very well. If you're tall sticking a slide on butt pad will make the gun shoot in the right place. I've often thought about getting my own, but keep putting it off. ElvisThePelvis
I'd be inclined to have a chat with the people in the cottages before buying one for a single purpose, I bought a Hushpower as I was aware of the noise in proximity to peoples houses and it turns out that they don't really care.. Cheaper to drop by with a bottle of wine or some flowers..
pigeon controller
Hi lloydi73, I had the same concern and went for a pump 12 bore and used it last week see " Silent Shooting" in sporting pictures. I had to fit an extended butt pad and a comb lifter to get it to shoot where I pointed it . Met the farmer I shot on Thursday on Saturday morning and he said he could see my hide but could not hear the shots. If you shoot subsonic they are quiet but not silent.
