farmer
Hi Guys, Has anyone needed to order a new Remington shotgun in the last few months??. Reason I ask is that I'm thinking of getting a Remington 870 Express in L/H. just wondered what the lead times are at the moment. Thanks Phil
saddler
I'd look for used myself....the new costs are ridiculous. Just posted one to Kent on Friday after arranging a trade & Duracoating it (in "Remington 870 Black") THAT 870 Express Magnum had had a hard life before I got it. I then gave it a decade of use on the PSG scene. Refinished, it was a new gun again....if not better than new as it had the Scattergun Technologies follower, the light trigger spring, an 11-87 carrier dog spring & an oversize safety....plus a new Duracoat finish! Lots to be said for the 870....I still have two & would not be without one as very dependable guns. But buy new? In the USA at their prices....a no brainer. Here at UK prices.....no chance!! Scully
Bought one for my nephew when he was a teenager. It was the synthetic stocked parkerised finish model and I was pleasantly surprised at its high quality. He loved it and when I got to use it for a spell I did too. Bombproof and as slick as they come; should never have traded it in.
wraivi
They sure are expensive here new, in comparison to overseas. I saw a few brand new ones on a rack in an NZ gunshop a couple of weeks ago, the equivalent of about £350 sterling. Interestingly, that the shop is owned and operated by a Brit. Nice chap too.
