I know there are a few birders on here so i thought I'd give a heads up to anyone interested. It's the first UK sighting. It's a juvenile and has no markings or tags, so it's believed to be a genuine wild birdThere was one spotted in the west country yesterday and may well still be in the area. It was last seen in Somerset after some lucky beggar got a cracking vid of it near the severn estuary!

So, if anyone sees a barn door flying over their house, give me a nudge, as i'd love to see one in this country!

Got it, but that Derbs report doesn't stack up. this bird has a predominantly darkbody and head, whereas that derbs report was 'with a white head and body'. Not sure what they saw, but it's not been reported by Rare Bird Alert. The direction would make sense, but i'm not convinced by that report
