Wingman
Had an awful day last Sunday. Had to park a long way off from our field as the ground was soaking and the tractor has cut furrows over the path, my Korean 4X4 would have made about 50 yards if I was lucky. Me and my shooting buddy carried all of the gear on foot ankle deep in mud got set up by 9am and waited... and waited... and waited... Loads of pigeons flying over but in 3 hours not a single one landed. We sacked it took it all back to the car and then had a walk about for an hour before getting bored and heading to the pub for a pint! On the plus side I was knackered in the evening and felt like I had done some exercise which was good!
cpaulc
If I have nothing better to be doing and it's an alright day I'm happy to sit, listen to the radio and relax. But my usual mantra is 'am I having fun?' If it's grim and no birds I'd rather be sat warm and dry.
