Dougy
For those that are genuinely I'll then fine take as long as you need. But unfortunately there are those that play the game and cost companies stupid amounts of money claiming to be sick. And then still have full annual leave entitlement, and all with pay. GingerCat
I had similar at work when I cut a load of tendons and nerves whilst at work. Thr dr signed me off for 3 months and said it would easy take longer than that to heal. Work would phone most weeks and ask if I wanted to totally ignore the dr and come back to work. I would reply that I couldn't and she shouldn't be asking that. She would chuckle and call again a week later. Eventually when I could return to work she arranged a phased return. I suspect you're company is seeing what it can do to help you however the sceptic in me remembers that they really don't care that much and to listen to your dr who has signed you off.
