Hi All.

as per LB's post he was BANG on right.

Went to a new farm this morning at about 07.00am and I sat watching flight lines for over half-an-hour on recently planted Spring Rape; whilst waiting for my hoppoes to arrive.

Once they arrived I went to the Farmer next door and explained that I had acquired the right to shoot pigeons on his neighbours fields and there would hopefully be " a lot of noise today".

I asked him if he had got anybody shooting his land and he said "no", so I asked if I could and he said "yes and you can keep an eye on my corn-on-the cob fields later on."

We set up 2 hides and started shooting from the off. For about 3 hours or more the pigeons kept kite-ing in to the deeks and we had shot over a 100 by midday-ish and then it slowed down considerably.

Very windy and the odd shower.

About 2.00pm ish we then had another mad hour and THEN THE LULL came. Very SLOW after that; finally packed up about 18.00pm.

My self and Alan had to wait for over an hour to shoot the last 3 or 4 to take us over 200.

Finished up on 201 pigeons and 10 blackies.

Total 211 birds.

Have to try and replenish the cartridges.

Al and the boys have ran out .

Top Day and the farmer couldn't believe how many we had shot.

(I did tell him we would get a few , if they stayed all day.)

:lol:

2 new farms and a 200 bird bag.

:good::lol:
