yorkshire graeme
Just wondering if anyone can recommend anywhere nice in the lakes thats dog friendly for a few days away. Don't mind if its a hotel or a pub etc just somewhere nice and clean and friendly. Any advice or tips please?
arm3000gt
I've stayed at the White Cross Bay Caravan park on Windermere twice with the dog. It is well suited for day trips to the other lakes or you can just walk around Windermere. Might be a bit pricey if you are on your own though. lord_seagrave
Never stayed there, but I bought some wool from Fornside Farm, and the lady there (Pam?) was an absolute pleasure to deal with. Excellent customer service. LS
MrM
Waterhead Hotel in Ambleside - as far as I remember dog friendly, and they play Beatrix Potter stories in the downstairs cloakrooms instead of canned music! Take a drive over Hard Knott pass -spectacular scenery, and then up to Wast Water Edited July 4, 2016 by MrM
keg
+1 for Hardknott, carry on over Wrynose as well. Both are awesome. Been over in an MX-5 and the Landcruiser. Nor sure which was worse.

keg
This is a good webcam, covers the Hawkshead side of the ferry. Now streaming live HD stuff. Good for weather checks. http://www.fba.org.uk/ferry-cam Edited July 4, 2016 by keg
