Puggers
Hi all, I'm looking to replace the foam inserts in my rifle case and have it laser cut in a high density format for a specific rifle and whilst I appreciate I can simply Google for options of suppliers, does anyone have any recommendations they can make and contact details? I am aware of the YouTube videos on DIY efforts and have seen some truly awful examples so would rather leave this to a professional. I'm based in South Yorkshire but don't have an issue dealing with a business at distance. Thanks in advance.

subsonicnat
Why not Cut it yourself.!. A Bow with wires attached both ends to a train transformer, or battery with a resistor to keep it down a bit..just a Bow with piano wire, knife through butter.. Just keep it Square.. Puggers
Yes, I have considered doing it myself but having seen some other DIY efforts, I was put off by the end result which was very amateurish and spoiled the final look. I might have a go on a test piece first if I can't find a local solution. I contacted one place earlier and offered to provide the outline for them to upload to their CAD software but was knocked back after being told one of the directors was anti-gun! They'll laser cut for anything, except a firearm.
rodp
Cut shape out of foam thinner than case then glue a sheet to the bottom. We use a bandsaw to cut it, you can close up the cut where the saw goes in quite tidily if you're careful.
jimmyb79
Calibre Innovations in Wiltshire can do it too, can be found on Google.
Puggers
Calibre Innovations in Wiltshire can do it too, can be found on Google They do indeed and I had another recommendation for them after I posted yesterday and have picked up with Simon there to understand the process given the distance involved. Thanks for getting in touch - much appreciated.
jimmyb79
No problem at all, they're good guys and do great work. Here's a case they did for me:
Puggers
No problem at all, they're good guys and do great work. Here's a case they did for me: You've a gap top right there - couldn't you fill it? Looks great though - what was the turnaround time? I can see you're Kent based so closer than me - did you visit to get the CAD drawings sorted or prepare these yourself and send across? Cheers
jimmyb79
Haha, they did enjoy the challenge of trying to make it all fit! I was able to pop down and take all my kit with me, but effectively what they did was trace around the the items onto paper (A4 taped together will suffice) and then put them onto CAD before doing the cutting, so easily done remotely. Puggers
Understood - I potentially plan to get some wall lining paper or similar to trace round and post it off. Thanks again

Pheasant Feeder
There was a company at the Northern shooting show, but I can't remember their details. I'll have a look and see what I can find.
