starlight32
Looking for some info please everyone, After a few shots the choke always works loose on my escort semi. Anyone else had the same problem? Never had this issue with any other multi choke I have owned, anyone know a suitable or known solution to the problem? I have been told grease does it, but I tried it twice with different types and still they come loose. In anticipation of some solution Regards starlight32

lurcherboy
My Lanber and Bennelli do the same and I just check them every 50 shots or so. If it really bothers you why not use some PTFE tape to keep them tighter for longer not Loctite like my mate did LB
Mungler
Loctite! Lol Just tighten them up a bit more - next you'll me moaning that you can't get the lids off jam jars, policeman look too young these days and that you can't keep track of your money since they did away with the shilling. EDIT: Come to think of it, contact your local Scouts and see if someone there wants to earn they "choke tightening really really tight" badge. M ROBSON
Put a bit of copper grease on the thread and give them a good tighten. It helps you take them out but it also stops them working loose through vibration. Mark.
Oly
I have Berrata mobile chokes in mine - nice tight fit & much better patterning
EvoCars
cant say mine have ever worked loose, my threads are only lightly oiled tho, not greased, and tightened up well

fieldwanderer
I had this problem with my franchi raptor when I first got it, I found that if the threads were smothered in oil it didn't matter how tight I did the choke it came loose. I wiped the majority of it off so there wasn't much more than a smear on the threads, did it up as tight as I could and it's fine now I think I'll take it out every now and then just to make sure it's not busy siezing up on me
