NorfolkAYA
Hi all, I've made the decision I'm going to spend my hard earned money on a 525 sporter. Ideally 30inch barrels. I don't want to buy brand new. I would like a very good condition second hand one. What does everyone reckon is a good price secondhand?. Daveo26
I paid £950 for a s/h 525 game gun. But it was unfired..... Long story but the guy bought the wrong gun and returned it. Mines fixed choke. It was as expected completely immaculate except for a minor cabinet mark.
Biggsy
Bought mine new...£1300,for a mint second hand maybe £1000... I've put about 3000 Olympic blues through mine, briley chokes,1/4 3/8. Fits me well
Mr gen
I also bought mine for £950 (trade sale) multi choke 5 in total, two in the gun three in the case. Although mine was not mint it had a few little marks on the stock were previous owner had rubbed it on their jacket buttons or something. Its always worth being a little cheeky with the seller to see what they will throw in to sweeten the deal I got a cheap cleaning kit and a nice leather SGC wallet. Great choice of gun good luck
NorfolkAYA
Cheers guys, I've had a look on guntrader and it seems they go for around 850-1100. Just gotta keep my eyes peeled for a nice example now 👍

Fishing Richie
Its worth noting that the 2014 model onwards comes with the option to adjust the stock length with shims and / or replacement recoil pad. I have recently purchased a new 525 and was able to make these stock adjustments in the shop. It fits me much better than the 2005 year model I traded in for it. psycho
£300 difrance between a new model and a gun that could be 10 years old never been serviced ..I was in the same bout so saved up for a couple of extra month and got a new one with guarantee etc...it made sense to get new
DanWalker
£1200 new in Feb with a slip case thrown in. S/h looked like a false economy at that price
