guzzicat
More advice needed,I need to carry my BSA Bantam on my bike rack on rear of SWB Trooper,I am planning on mounting my spare wheel on the front bull bar,so it will stick out the width of the tyre from front of vehicle, should this pose a problem legally ?, I did not fancy having spare wheel in rear as my lab will be travelling there. Davyo
I would phone your insurance comp, however VW campers (them old ones) had the wheel mounted on the front but factory spec. Dont know how true this is but when i had a modified 4x4 (lifted above manufactures spec)i was told that i had altered the impact zones set for pedestrians & could be liable to add damages claim. subsonicnat
If its classed as a type of BULL BAR, Be Wary..impact on pedestrian would hurt quite a bit more..??..

guzzicat
At 70 years humping a spare wheel up unto a roof rack is beyond me, I remember VW camper vans having the spare on the front years ago,I will just chance it, it,s only for 1 week in September & spare has a plastic cover on.
