ProGunJohn
Hi lads im wanting to get into practical shotgun and my club (mayfair) apparently have a course in pittington. Just wondering if anyone has been or goes? As I don't know too much about the place and just need to know basic stuff like whether you can buy cartridges there or have them beforehand etc.

phaedra1106
He wants info on PSG not clays Pittington is the last Saturday of the month, Dave at the Mayfair is the chap to ask about it. You can just turn up and shoot, if you have a shotgun certificate you can only use a standard 2+1 shotgun using normal cartridges, no slugs. If you have a Firearms Certificate with a sec.1 shotgun and slugs on it you can use whatever you like There may be some cartridges to buy but normally you take your own, 7's or 7.5s will cover most things (falling plates etc.) but you need slugs for some of the courses of fire. Breastman on here is a member and has a few videos showing a typical course of fire, MKPSG12 on Youtube Edited September 4, 2016 by phaedra1106
Mutiny
I've been a handful of times, although not in the past few months due to work. It's good crack, and loads of fun. Every time I've been you can buy cartridges if you need them.
