    Hi lads im wanting to get into practical shotgun and my club (mayfair) apparently have a course in pittington. Just wondering if anyone has been or goes? As I don't know too much about the place and just need to know basic stuff like whether you can buy cartridges there or have them beforehand etc.

    Now that I have my FAC, I need to decide on what exact guns I'm going to be on the lookout for. Always great to hear some suggestions Heres what guns are on the ticket: .22LR LB Pistol .38/357 LB Revolver .38/357 Lever Action Rifle .22LR Semi Auto Rifle 12 Bore Pump (Already decided on Mossberg 590...for now)

    Well they did ask me to send it back to have it 'investigated'. But do you think it be ok if I buy a couple guns in the mean time and some bullets, just so I have some to play with in the mean time? I wouldn't mind doing it since both slugs and a suppressor are missing from the license.

    I asked SrSPower, the youtuber and his license actually states 12 Bore Slugs. Whereas mine just states 12 Bore - 800 >:(

    County Durham mate yes haha. Now heres where it gets interesting...I rang up durham constabulary, I got through to a young lady which strangely, she seemed confused about the whole thing as if firearms wasn't her sector (despite her working in the firearms licensing department), she asked me to wait on hold while she got clarification from someone else, I was waiting about 1 minute and she came back to say that it didn't sound like i was covered for slugs. Which I found interesting and surprising as my FEO didn't seem to have a problem with it and surely this would of been explained/rejected. So is it possibly she just made a mistake and no one in the office really knew? Because if you asked me, 12 Bore ammunition on a section 1, sounds like it would cover slugs since its section 1. Im interested to see if anyones license who has them actually says if its a separate slot of not. She said I should post my license back and they would look into it...which I dont like the idea of because I only just got it :(

    Right guys so I had my interview 2 days ago and got my license today, bloody speedy service! Now, one thing I asked for was a shotgun for practical, I always wrote down shotgun slug cartrdiges. Its probably the only thing he asked about, and I explained how its commonly used in practical. Now far as I am aware the whole interview went excellent and we had a crack on. Now when I look on my license it says under ammunition 12 Bore - 800. I did put 800 like a tool even though I have a SGC >.< So the question is, am I able to purchase slugs then or would it actually say slug cartridges on license? Anyone here actually have them on their license?

    I dont suppose some could help me find a suitable a gun, heres waht I need: 12 Bore Side by Side 3" Chamber Ejectors/extractors Bonus would be single trigger and Idont mind if the barrels are bit long, wouldnt actually mind it for a change Having proper trouble finding one. Help would be much appreciated, thanks

    Well it's definitely chambered right at 3". I can't find the symbol anywhere tho, unless i have to strip it and it would be on the bottom of the barrel for some reason?

    Hey guys, I do enjoy a good clay shoot but only been to a couple places. I was wondering if anyone knows of any clay shoots in the County Durham or Tyne and Wear areas where ya get to clay shoot but have more privacy, as in just you and couple of friends or a clay shoot where everyone shoots at the same time and gets their own little booth type thing, something like that, let me know Cos it can be bit annoying keep been given pointers at times, ya just want to be out there to bust some clays with the 12 bore.

    Hi there been searching for some land for around 6 months now, used to have a permission down the country but can no longer reach it and have been dying to get out for a shoot on some land so if anyone knows anyone or anything be sure to let me know! I normally just go for the odd clay shoot in the meantime, getting better at it but nothing beats being on some private land. Got the usual, my BASC insurance and SGC, I only use shotguns although sometime in the future I will most likely get round to the FAC. Can reach any area thats close enough (seaham, murton, sunderland, bishop auckland etc)
