grahamch
I have a brand new MAxus, bought 3 weeks ago and so far has worked perfectly. Have put 75 trap shells, a box of 3.5 mammoths and a few 32g tungsten through it ok. This morning while on the marsh the speed load would not work at all which is annoying for a new gun and geese are coming. Any tips on what may be causing the problem and how to fix it? TIA Edited September 29, 2016 by grahamch
wymberley
The only problem I've had is if I don't keep my finger (thumb) out of the way preventing the floor plate from closing.
Specialk
Hi grahamch, I saw your post and joined the forum to hopefully assist you and quite a few others who have talked about the speedloader either not working or working intermittently. If you haven't sussed it yet, there is actually a knack to using it............! and once you know it will not let you down! I was really disappointed when I bought my first Maxus ( I'm on my third ) and the speedloader was intermittent if hardly ever working. The shop owner said you have to push it into the magazine quickly! No.......still the same, so I looked on the internet and the videos on you tube advertising the gun solved the problem. There are two decent videos and after watching them a few times, I noticed when the guys demonstrated the speedloader, I noticed that they were not just pushing the shell into the mag, while pushing it home with their thumbs, they swiped their thumbs off the bottom of the cartridge. I got the gun out, and I was double chuffed when it worked and has not failed me ever since. It's a shame the manual does not tell you this, which they could and even include a photo with an arrow showing the swiping action. I hope this helps all who thinks that it does not work properly, it is actually the way you load it! Get swiping guys!
Specialk
By the way grahamch, I assumed you weren't aware of this, and not that you knew and that the speedloader has actually broken!

Lloyd90
Hope this works for me as I just bought my Maxus today and loved the speed loader except it didn’t work a couple times and I was a bit worried 🤔
