hatsanmad
Hi guys. Im on the look out for some specalist fowling chokes for a revo k200 and a hatsan extrememax ideally i want either a pattern master code black or a kicks chokes. But what im struggling with is finding what style will fit these guns as i cant find much info on the net regarding choke styles or thread measurments. Has anyone got either of these guns and fitted/purchased a aftermarket choke to either of these guns? And if so what choke did you get and were from? Sorry double posted by mistake
Stonepark
My k226 is berreta mobile. I did email Khan/Revo to confirm and got an email back quite quickly. Edited October 10, 2016 by Stonepark
Jaymo
I do believe Stonepark is correct- received the same answer for my Revo Pump
TONY R
Revo is mobil choke as said above, you will be ok with kicks high flyers but if your wanting anything tighter i would go for a Wad wizard rather than a constriction choke in that thread configuration. the extremax is AFAIK Remington REM choke threads you can put whatever choke you want in these you wont get issues. Thanks everyone i will look into the mobil offerings out there. Tonyr so if i look at the remington style chokes is that correct? As you can probably tell from the guns i own cost are important to me due to funds i have and dont mind spending as a one off just dont want to fork out a load of money for something that doesnt fit or work through my gun and be stuck with something i cant use. AFAIK, look like rem chokes, Find a person with an 1187 at a clay ground or in a local gunshop try them to make doubly sure. Look like rem choke to me though i must say, now older hatsans are mobil but not in 20 bore they are huglu thread .
hatsanmad
Ok thanks tony spoke with paul at pro duck and goose uk. And he said if threads at the bottom ect will be a rem choke and asked me to send pics of the chokes for it to make sure and they are. Thanks for that. The only off putting thing i have read regarding mobil choke designs is the bulging bit is this a common error with the aftermarket chokes using the mobil threads or is it just a case of users pushing and using the incorrect shot sizes or over pressured loads? Well threads being in the regeon of the chokes constriction are never a good idea in my opinion, Extended tubes with the choke outside the bore in the extension section of the tube is prefereable, Carlsens are like this on many of their extended tubes. The bbulging tends to be more in tight steel chokes or Turkey chokes being used with steel etc , And mainly Beretta guns which tend to have very wide tolerances compared to the likes of hatsan barrel s where the choke threads are pretty tight on specs and of good uniform dimensions, the latter seldom give trouble even with very tight choking. Many of the turks are running Rem chokes now Webley and scott on their old semi autos used the ren choke threads 10 or 15 years ago the rest are slowly folowing suit, Good choke threads the rem chokes, and plenty of options to chose from from all choke manufacturers. New escorts are rem choke now.
figgy
Make sure the chokes you buy you can actually get two of them in the gun. A lot of aftermarket wildfowl chokes are not suitable for over and under guns
