subsonicnat
Your speed is your aiming point,High Rib will shoot quite high,as in ABT,More lead required. Suck and see,,start where you think and gradualy drop back a bit,You will find them,, Better if know someone whocan spot for you though.. B O L . V8 90
If the gun fits you - Flat rib shoots where you looking as does a High rib - Use what hold points you're used to I've switch to a high rib & have tried higher gun hold but it didn't work for me. Guest stevo
you have an adjustable rib , depending on what sort of pattern you like 60/40 70/30 ect get your self on a pattern plate and adjust it , lower the rib to shoot higher rase the rib to shoot lower simple

Paul1440
High Ribs will shoot high,The higher the rib the more LEAD You will give OVER THE TOP... Why High Ribs are used on Automatic Ball trap.. High ribs and flat ribs shoot the same. High adjustables can be altered to give a differing rib picture and move impact as said by others A 25mm non adjustable high rib with just the bead in view will shoot 25 mm lower than a flat rib as the barrel muzzel is that distance lower. In the world of scatter gun accracy it has no effect. A high rib is designed to give better visability and let the shooter see the target more quickly than a flat rib as it moves the main bulk of the gun away from the eye and supposodly promotes a more head up position. Most of the Top ABT shots use flat ribs. The exceptions use adjustables to make the gun shoot either higher or lower with a rib picture they are happy with. subsonicnat
A high rib is designed to give better visability and let the shooter see the target more quickly than a flat rib as it moves the main bulk of the gun away from the eye and supposodly promotes a more head up position. So if your head is in more upright position, your eye will be higher,,which in turn lowers the front sighting of the gun,,Which has to be raised to blot target,Hence shoot High. MHO. Westward
So if your head is in more upright position, your eye will be higher,,which in turn lowers the front sighting of the gun,,Which has to be raised to blot target,Hence shoot High. MHO. A shotgun that fits the same shoots the same - whatever the height of the rib. Thanks to the wonderful world of physics, there is another rarely mentioned advantage to a high rib/high comb gun, namely less muzzle jump because the axis of the barrels is further below the line of sight and therefore nearer to a straight path to the shoulder.
