bruno22rf
Long shot,I know, but does anybody recognise the following symptoms, Springer Spaniel, pupils wide open, temp 40, running around as he always does but when he stops his back legs bend then he falls to the side. He is at an overnight Animal Hospital at the moment incase he needs emergency treatment but they seem stumped as to a diagnosis. He has shown small signs of this before as sometimes he simply stops whatever he is doing and sits to one side. Any thoughts/ideas would be most welcome, the vets are leaning towards something he has eaten but, as this has happened before, I think they may be off track. loriusgarrulus
Has he got eye flicker as well, as vestibular syndrome has some of the symptoms you describe. Edited October 25, 2016 by loriusgarrulus
Adge Cutler
One of MY Dogs used to suffer similar symptoms.. It was diagnosed as EIC... I then had to carry some high sugar snacks with me when he was out and not over exercise him. Might be similar.

bruno22rf
Many thanks for the replies, I'm £400 worse off now but he seems a lot better today - IV fluids and charcoal may have helped but I'm not convinced. Got to admit, hand on heart, that I was worried sick - he is such an amazing Dog and the pain caused by the thought of losing him was unreal. Thanks again.
