There have been a few posts lately about feeders being vandalized or stolen must be the nice weather bringing folk out, although yours sounds more like teenagers being a bit well teenage!! bruno22rf Posted May 8, 2017 Author Report Share Posted May 8, 2017 Somehow I knew that Sunday would not deliver on my expectations. I silently prayed for at least 3 to take my final total to 50 but fate decided otherwise. After getting into my perfect position the first customer came in from a totally different direction and performed a leap, that would have turned Greg Rutherford green, onto the feeding tree and heading for the Hopper like he had an expiring Luncheon Voucher. Almost instantly he began feeding in such a classic face on pose that it would simply have been rude not to shoot him. No 2 could not have been more different, he used the classic approach but was twitchy from the moment he appeared, dashing up and down the tree for what seemed like an eternity I got so annoyed that I toyed with the idea of shooting him up the rear end before he finally offered me a side on shot with a tree behind his head acting as a backstop. Total for the season 49 but at least I have had the experience of shooting this, newish to me, Wood and the noise from the Grounds Manager would indicate that my presence will very much be required there next season.
