Hi

I am looking to reload some 24 grams in 71/2 shot backed by GM3 powder however shotshell is a new territory and I'm not quiet sure which Lee load all 2 powder bushing to use. I have done loads of metallic reloading and I am aware of the pressure aspect. If anyone could kindly tell me how the measure or convert the powder bushing to grains or............?

And GM3 is not designed for 24gm in 12ga but ok if 20ga.

There you go. Original manufacturers data sheet from 1987. Don't know if GM3 has changed over the last 30 yrs.

Think it has, I would use the chart as a guide and then use the scales to verify the dose.

 

Surly if you reload metallic you must have a scales, never compromise on safety.

Is it SNIA GM3 in a rectangular metal 1Kg can or Nobelsport / Vectan Gm3 in a plastic bottle or round drum?

I got plenty proofed load depending on the batch dating back 1960

 

for instance: up until 1998-2000 the best ever shell you could fire in Italy (exported in Spain as well) to shoot small migratory birds was GM3 12/70 615 1,55 x 32 Gualandi 22 star crimp at 58 mm; would give 650 bar and 405 m/s V1 (1,60 x 32 if using shot size 6 and below).

 

Same shell, from a test run in 2006 at Gualandi own proofing room gave 1020 bar
