Guest cookoff013
hi guys, what aftermarket choke would you guys recomend? here are my criteria. i`ll be shooting homeloads anywhere between 25g to 36g of steel shot sizes #2 to BB and maybe some playtime with 6mm (cylinder choke maybe) the speeds i`ll be shooting would be under 1450fps for steel. the tungsten i`d be using is hw13 stuff, maybe upto #2s (lead sizing) at 1200fps, 1,1/2oz respectively. what would you reccomend ? i`m in the market for a single choke (pump) and for ranges of about 40yards max. the tungsten would be used "alittle further" maybe 41 yards? anser2
If you can find one I have had outstanding results from HS Undertaker choke - full - .700 regulated for BB\BBB , but amazing when used on 50 yard mallard and 3.5 inch loadsof US no 2. I do not think HS make them anymore , but there could be a few still kicking about. Mine came with my Browning Gold S\A and had £34 on the packet. While not listed thas is the makers list. http://www.hunterspec.com/sites/default/files/HS_Strut_ShotTube_16.pdf Edited December 22, 2016 by anser2

tomaddy525
For those cartridges and ranges I'd stick the 3/4 choke in that came with your gun and forget about it
grahamch
I've not bothered with aftermarket chokes for my Maxus, use the standard half choke with ITM, Hevishot and steel with good results. Loads vary from 32g no 5 to 42g BBs
