xmarksmanx
What do you think of these Yukon photons night vision scopes and which 1to go for the 42mm or 50mm
steve d
If I may be so bold, dont bother, get one of Dave G's add ons theyre mustard with the black sun IR. Mate has a photon and hes ****ed that hes had to tie up a rifle purely to use with it, whereas I can swap it around on all 5 of mine

telf
i had the mk 1 and xt versions, preferred the mk 1 ,mainly because it had proper turrets, didnt like the xt with the one shot zero mallarky,i dont shoot at night anymore but i was to again ,i would go for one of mr Gs add-ons,never heard a bad word about them, plus hes a very helpfull chap

Schmitty
I've got a self made add-on and also make use of a friends photon xt. Pro's and con's.... The add-on unit is easy to fit and can be moved from gun to gun very quickly although its important to check that its in place correctly as if not it can make the Zero seem off. Another point to add about the add-on is the screen brightness...Even when turned down low it still lights up my face like a floodlight. Clarity of the quarry is excellent. The XT is restricted to one rifle unless you want to keep zeroing. Clarity of the quarry is slighly lower than the add-on unit but hardly noticable. As the XT has a proper eye piece it does not light up my face but after looking through it for a short period of time I lose my night vision in my right eye for a short time afterwards. The hardest thing about using either unit is judging distances. Both units have their place and I like being able to use both but have to say that I have had more success with the XT. Edit to add:- its the 42mm Yukon Edited January 1, 2017 by Schmitty
bornfree
There is a conversion you can do to the photon using a 105mm camera lens it totally transforms it.
