REDEX FUEL TREATMENT.

Is it worth using REDEX or some such other treatment for the injectors?

I have used the STP one shot in a tank full for a few years now and was wondering if it was worth using it at all?

They had a special offer on Redex though yesterday so I am giving that a go. 1/4 of a bottle in the next four tank loads of fuel.

Do these things realy work or is it a waste of money? :stupid:

Redex and the like isn't much use, a more industrial / professional additive is much better something like protec. It costs about a tenner but those that do deliver want about £7 postage, so it ain't cheap...works tho.

I tried redex and the likes but they only seemed to have sort term effects until a read about Protec on a 4x4 forum and i never looked back ;)

I use Protec diesel additive and the oil booster B) Its not cheap :D but sure makes a difference to my 18 year old 90 :)

Gents,

I decided to revive my fuel system with a touch of redex. The first tank went a treat, responsive, good mpg, and no problems. The problems started on the second tank of fuel, it smoked, pinked, didn't rev, poor mpg and was running very rough. It can honestly say i will not be using redex ever again, its a waist of money and causes damage to your vehicle. :stupid:

Regards Q
