Sharpshooter94
Hi all, Im Aidan, just applied for my License. I live in Sunderland in the North East, just wondering if anyone knows any local farmers around the North East/Durham who are easily approached to get permission for shooting on their land. Im a BASC member so do have cover etc (Printed the certificate out to show a farmer) Is there any sort of easily found land owners website I can go to, just to find out what land is where and who owns it etc. Thanks Aidan
kyska
As always, you just need to get out there, find the farms and go and ask. With all due respect you'll not get any free permission to shoot in here. Good luck
marsh man
I agree with Kyska , gaining a permission is not as easy as asking someone on a open forum , they are not going to tell you Mr A and Mr B are looking for complete strangers to walk around there land with a shotgun or whatever weapon you have in mind. One way forward is to join a wildfowling club near to where you live , by being a member you will get built in insurance , most clubs have access to pigeon shooting , although you will need to prove you are safe to go by yourself before you are granted access , plus you will be mixing with like minded members and by joining in with work parties , club activities and attending club meetings you might well get your first step on the ladder in gaining somewhere to shoot . GOOD LUCK and keep trying .
Sharpshooter94
Cheers for the comments, yeah I know someone won't give me permission online etc (maybe worded it wrong) just wondering what the score was when trying to gain permission
flynny
Cheers for the comments, yeah I know someone won't give me permission online etc (maybe worded it wrong) just wondering what the score was when trying to gain permission We've all been there bud( if you don't ask you don't get) Newbies/ novices have to start somewhere and you only asked the question bud, and added it on a shooting forum( if you can't ask here where can you ask as a novice Get door knocking , every farm you pass just call in and ask, you'll either get a yes or a no, and offer the farmer / land owner your help Good luck Flynny
