Old English SBS marking on flats of barrels

Hi all

I took a local gun (Pape) into a local gun shop today to have a chat with a fella who knows his Pape's.

On the flats of the barrels there are some markings 13/1 and measured the bores, and then showed me on a chart how much play each barrel had in terms of being in proof.

When I got home I looked at another set of barrels from another old English SBS, and it said 15/1.

Stupidly I forgot to ask what those markings were called. I can pop in again tomorrow but thought I'd ask on here tonight.

I'm just curious and want to know more about them.

TIA

Jonny
