Accuracy will be unaffected provide the new crown is spot on,,,the cost varies but around £50.00 should cover it. There are some issues about re-proofing but I believe that is only a concern if you want to sell the rifle,,though how would anyone know that it wasn't that length when you acquired it ?

Had a CZ cut to 14" at Bowtec in Birtly.I was going to go 16"but was going to ask him (Dave) about 14".Anyhow he was cutting his own to 14" so I thought that will do for me.Got it back 3 days later and after fitting the scope and mod it was grouping 5mm @ 54mtres within 8shots.

14" Has made the gun(+mod)so much more balanced/less clumsy/handleable

 

:so well pleased.I was uncertain whether to bother shortening or not as my CZ452 22lr is normally my 22lr weapon/tool ofp choice:but glad I did:not quite as accurate as bolt action but more than good enough for 80+yds and a joy to shoot although the trigger is only "average".
