Hunter
Well, I had this for a day, but it blew, on the way back to be replaced as it was faulty. But a new on is on the way. Its a reasonable bit of kit, and will cut 1" thick steel plate. (20mm) I messed about with it before it blew, on some 2mm Stainless steel, it cuts like butter, though I need to get used to hadnling the torch. It will cut as clean and straight, as you can. Neater smoother cut then an angle grinder... Plasma is the 4th State of Matter, and its temprature is 16,649c (yes thats HOT!) and vaporises metal using the compressed are plasma stream. I will be using this for repair work and light fabrication. Nice tool.. It looks similar to other welding torches, and sits with the other welders as they are now so small. Cuts bar... And anything conductive.. Beats using a jigsaw to cut out your roof winow More pics soon when I fix some rust holes on my Jeep.

tikkamark
it leaves a very ragged edge when cutting stainless when hooked up to compressed air cuts very nice when connected to an argon supply cuts mild steel neatly on either supply. al4x
shame you're not nearer I've got a lorry needs some cutting and welding done,
Hunter
The stainless produced a lot of slag, but it easily rubs off with a file, leaving a neat cut I found. But this was on sheet.. havent tried it on stainless above 3-4mm though. I read that not ll cutters require it. This 50a cutter is supposed to run off filtered air only. Alex, would love a go at that work.. pitty about the distance though.
