smokinbarrels
Afternoon gents, Well it's been a fantastics day up in North Yorkshire only thing is my hayfeaver has started to give me problems. It starts about this time every year and lasts a couple of months. I try all the normal tablets and sprays but after a couple of weeks they seem to stop working. Does anybody have any ideas? I'm willing to try anything to stop my eyes watering and my nose itching! Many Thanks Q
dazza
try galpharm Hayfever and Allergy Relief (cetirizine hydrochloride) they work for me I also take two spoonfuls of honey in the morning which seems to help
Markio
I found that most of the tablets contains one of two active ingredients. I think the ones that work for me contain something like Lotrozine. And yes, i've heard local honey is meant to help but not tried it. The tablets tend to work for the most part. It's the itching on the roof of my mouth that really winds me up.

njc110381
I suffer really badly with hayfever from around now for about two months. You may laugh, but I find smearing vaseline around inside my nose does the trick for the sneezing better than any pill! That's another reason for me wanting the HMR, my sneezing shouldn't scare the bunnies at 100+ yards
lurcherboy
I used tabs and nasal spray last year from late April until early September. This year I haven't taken any medication as of yet so WTH is going on LB

I've heard this too. I think it's meant to trap the pollen in the vasaline before it enters your nose.

invector
Hayfever is even worse.
bbjunkie
Saw an article on GMTV about 10 days ago, they reckon there is several different types... Seems that if your hayfever is triggered by grass pollen then you should consider cutting down or cutting out oats, rye, wheat, kiwi and raw tomato; and if you react to weeds try to avoid raw carrots and curry spices. If you react to birch (Tree pollen), you may also react to celery, curry spices, raw tomato, raw carrot, apples and pears. darebear
and just a piece of information for you here.... just before a storm, your hayfever (and for one of my newfoundland's, her skin allergies to pollen), is likely to worsen. this is because of the atmosphere and pressure levels. atoms floating around are moving at a faster rate, bombarding and breaking down pollen grains into even smaller pieces - so it's everywhere. Markio
Hmmmm, looks like the only answer is Abbott Ale. It doesn't cure your hayfever but makes you give less of a ****.
Tony9r
I've tried all the tablets & sprays... the one that works the best for me is Clarityn, just one pill a day

Find out what the active ingredient is in Clarityn and buy a generic version. Cost me £6 for enough pills to keep me going for 2 years.
