Hunting with Hawks experience - any recommendations?

I would like to experience flying hawks.

Not just watching them fly as they do at the many country shows but watching them actually hunt rabbits and/or hares.

 

Any recommendations, preferably south of Birmingham

wrong time of year now as you will find anyone who flys birds will have put them up into the moult, will have to wait until september unless you are lucky to find someone flying an older bird through the moult, quite rare though. I have known one of my friends do this, a very experienced falconer. put hawking clubs into google and it will bring you up plenty, many meet on a monthly basis and you would get a day or so out with them paid.

Not everyone puts the birds away to moult, the season for demo and game fairs etc is just starting so people who do this will still be flying their birds but probably not hunting although someone on here posted his Harris hawks caught some squirrels few weeks ago.

 

I have done a couple of experience days and they are magical to watch, always been a hawk fan but then I watched a falcon do her thing to the lure think attack helicopter vs fighter jet wow!

I would recommend this place for a hunting experience.....did an experience last year, walking and beating local fields/woods for quarry and even had time to use ferrets to flush to the birds later in the day and do some handling.
